This two-day course is for individuals involved in the residential and commercial installation of interlocking concrete pavements. Content includes job planning and documentation, job layout, soil characteristics, compaction, base materials, edge restraints, bedding and joint sands, selection and installation of concrete pavers, maintenance and management, specialty applications and construction tips, safety, estimating and job costing, and contract basics. Participants who take the course and earn a passing grade on the exam will receive a Record of Completion. Participants interested in earning an ICPI Concrete Paver Installer certification will need to meet minimum installation experience requirements.

This two-day course on the best practices for the installation of interlocking concrete pavers in the industrial, commercial, institutional and municipal markets is designed for foremen and higher-ranking personnel. It is recommended, but not required, that participants have completed the ICPI Concrete Paver Installer Course prior to attending this course. Topics covered include stabilized bases, bedding sand hardness, durability, overlays, inlays, rigid applications, roof plaza decks, crosswalks, concrete grid pavements, commercial and mechanical installation, contracts, MasterFormat, conditions, liens,
construction details, plan reading, submittals, retainage, estimating software, on-screen takeoffs, and marketing. Participants who take the course and earn a passing grade on the exam will receive a
Record of Completion and will earn 13 continuing education credits to apply toward Concrete Paver Installer Certification renewal. Those meeting a minimum amount of installation experience are eligible to earn a Commercial Paver Technician designation.

Learn how to build segmental retaining walls (SRW’s) that perform well over time! This program teaches Hardscape contractors and installers essential concepts related to the design, construction, and performance of SRWs, providing the knowledge you need to install quality walls that meet customer expectations and ensure your long-term success. A highly experienced NCMA SRW Trainer will explain SRW installation guidelines, materials (Including SRW units and geosynthetics), soils, compaction and water, planning and equipment selection. Each candidate who completes this course (or six hours of equivalent SRW-installation-related education) and passes the written exam earns the Certified SRW
Installer (CSRWI) credential, which is highly valued by consumers and will help differentiate you from your competition.

This program will broaden your skills and the options you can offer your customers by teaching you advanced SRW applications and installation techniques. It is open to the NCMA Certified SRW Installers (CSRWI) who are engaged in the advanced construction of SRWs. The program is focused on advanced residential applications and small commercial jobs where stairs, corners, pillars, etc. are incorporated. Candidates who complete this course (or six hours of equivalent advanced SRW-Installation-related education) and pass a written exam earn the (CSRWI-A) credential.
