MAHTS 2008 Testimonials
I. J. Lapsley, Ford Motor Company: It is my please to say that the opportunity to be a coprorate sponsor for the MAHTS show has been a great investment. The show is well executed, well attended, and provides a good forum for my Ford dealerships to display our products and converse with potential customers. This is the third year of our corprorate sponsorship and each year has been more successful than the prior year. Thank you EP Henry for creating this venue. We look forward to our continued success as partners.
Jim Cunningham, John Deere: The 2008 MAHTS was an opportunity for John Deere Commercial and Consumer Equipment, John Deere Landscapes and John Deere Commercial Worksite Products to present a collective approach to the needs of the Professional Landscape Contractor. Our interaction with EP Henry was an outstanding experience, from their assistance in planning and promoting the event to the professional execution of an outstanding show.
Attendees were interested in our approach to the market, our solutions for their work, and happy to learn about our commitment to their business. We are excited about the contacts generated from the event and we are planning for next year. Congratulations on a job well done!"
Bob Pelouze, Modern Equipment: "Once again Modern had a fantastic show. We appreciate all that your staff does to make our showing a success. We sold equipment right off the floor. We will see residual sales from following up the many leads generated over the three days. Thanks again and we will see you in 2009."
Darryl Hurd, Delgard Premier Aluminum Fencing: "The show was beneficial to us. We are looking at other options of taking aluminum fence to market and we are finding that more and more, landscapers are interested in installing the fence themselves. The 'sporting event' went very well. Over all, the show was worth it for us. I expect to participate again next year."
Steve Juris, Steve Juris Leasing: "In the 12 years that I have done business with EP Henry, I have attended numerous company-sponsored events, and every one of them is planned, executed and handled FIRST CLASS! MAHTS is no exception! If you are in the Hardscaping industry, as an exhibitor or an attendee, this is the show to put on your calendar!"
Ginny Richhart, Midlantic Machinery: "This was our second year exhibiting at the MAHTS Trade Show and again the show was a success. When it was necessary to rearrange our booth at the end of the first day of the show the EP Henry & MAHTS people were extremely helpful and accommodating and they allowed us to make the necessary changes to our booth. We appreciate every effort made to help us have a successful show and look forward to participating in the 2009 MAHTS Trade Show. Thanks again."
Doug Grant, Ford Motor Company : "Just a note to let you know how well the MAHTS show went for us this year. The opportunity to get 6 Ford dealers in one booth and present our product as one has been working better each year that we have participated. The traffic was better and more importantly the quality of prospects was much improved over last year. The hardscape/landscape customer has long been a key customer base for Ford Commercial Trucks and thru your efforts we were able to meet with and discuss our product and support activities. The E.P. Henry show has improved each year from both a logistics and attendance standpoint and Ford looks forward to being an "E.P. Henry partner" for 2009; thanks again for your and Sally's personal touch and ability to get the show up and running in the successful manner that we have come to expect from E.P. Henry."
Chris Roumie, Essroc Cement: "As a first time exhibitor at MAHTS, I can say that overall, the experience was extremely positive. Your staff and really, everyone within the EP Henry organization runs a first class trade show. The traffic at our booth was always steady, and the contacts that were made there are invaluable. I look forward to exhibiting again next year, and being an integral part of the MAHTS show for years to come."
Brian Fillmore, Jessco Equipment: "We had a great show this year. The professionalism of the EP Henry staff was second to none. Setting up and breaking down the booths ran as smoothly and efficiently as possible. The attendees were truly committed to enhancing their knowledge of the construction industry. John Deere's sponsorship was a great add on to the show this year."
Pete Smeretsky, TES Inc.: "This was the first MAHTS Show for TES Inc. and as you probably know we have signed up for 2009. I was very impressed EP Henry puts this together without hiring a trade show management company. It is exceptionally well organized and everything fell into place without an obvious glitch. As an equipment supplier we expect to have a narrow focus among the attendees and it was the quality of potential buyers that kept our enthusiasm high. We feel comfortable a return on our investment awaits us in the near future. Congratulations and continued success."
Teddi – Lawngrips, Inc.: "As a first time exhibitor, we never know quite what to expect. We were delighted at all the interested attendees. We made many good connections and collected a lot of leads. I would recommend this show and would be happy to attend again."
Jim Elger, Techni-Seal: "Dave, this year's show was another success for us, we had 7 people manning our booth and at times all of us were busy with existing or prospective clients. We also gave Certification courses on Wed. and Thurs. and had a total of 78 participants. Also liked the changes this year EP Henry Village. See you next year!"
Bo Meagle, Dimex Inc.: "We have exhibited at this show for several years now and each year the show seems to get better. It is truly impressive the amount of paver displays that are all around the show. The show seems like a perfect place for both experienced and inexperienced contractors to get their hardscape knowledge. Each year Dimex has certain expectations for each show and MAHTS is always above expectations. We are very pleased with the opportunities from this year."
John Kida, Cherokee Manufacturing: "As a first time exhibitor for MAHTS I feel compelled to let you know how impressed I was with every aspect of this show. EP Henry does a first class job of making the exhibitors and attendees not only feel welcome but appreciated as well. I’m sure with the number and quality of the sales leads we received this will be a very successful show for our company. I’m so confident of that I turned in my contract for the 2009 show the same day I received it." John Kida, Cherokee Manufacturing
Mike Allen, Norris Sales: "2008 proved to be another successful year for Norris Sales at M.A.H.T.S. We continue to showcase our company and its services and products which are directly related to the hardscape contractor.

I am always amazed how quickly the convention center gets transformed into the 2008 MAHTS Hardscaping show. From the start of 2008 it seems like this year will yield the most business this far. See you all Next Year Were all Looking forward to another successful year in 09."

The caliber of the attendees was top notch, as was the way in which you and your staff worked with us. We met many current customers and we made contact with several outstanding prospects who we expect to do business with in the not-to-distant future. With your help, we believe we made the right impression on both customers and prospects. You treated us like MVPs, and your personal touch was well timed. We look forward to another successful MAHTS 2009."
Craig Clark, Henry Dunn Inc: "Henry Dunn Inc. has participated in the EP Henry MAHTS show for four consecutive years, Henry Dunn Inc. participates in five trade shows annually and the EP Henry Show is consistently our best investment return. We are face to face with many of our current clients at the show in addition to the new clients we pick up each year. The show is well organized, and the entire EP Henry staff works extremely hard to satisfy the exhibitors. Henry Dunn Inc. will be an exhibitor for many years to come. See you in AC in 2009 and thank you for the hard work!"
Scott Gillinder, Middleton & Company Insurance: "The EP Henry Show is consistently one of the most productive and successful shows for our agency as a provider of insurance services to the hardscape industry. We have attended the show for the last 4 years. The staff at EP Henry is a pleasure to work with. They have consistently expanded and improved the educational seminars to make the show a consistent draw for the landscape contractor. We will definitely be back in 2009!"
MAHTS 2007 Testimonials
Chris Batori, Faulkner-Ciocca Ford: Dave; Sorry this took so long! I enjoyed the show. It was the first one that I attended. I believe it put us in front of customers we would not normally have been able to reach. Most of the customers we spoke to seemed as though they would travel to our dealership in Pa. which I was surprised to hear. That was one of my concerns going in. I can tell you that we had more traffic in the 3 days of the show then we had at our dealership in the same amount of time. Thanks again, and if you have any questions please call me. And one other thing, we sold a truck from the show.
Ray Whoriskey, Custom Body & Truck: "As you may know this is my fourth year as an exhibitor at MAHTS and once again I was very pleased with this years show. The contractors and professionals who attend are serious about their business and interested in learning about the products we offer. The opportunity for us to speak to hundreds of potential customers in a few days makes our investment a good value."
Tom DeVito, Springfield Ford: "It was a pleasure to to attend the EP HENRY
TRADE SHOW and take part with Ford Motor company as a sponsor. The M.A.H.T.S
Show was a pleasurable experience from set up to arriving back at work Friday
evening! Hopefully everyone that participated benefited from the experience.
I applaud your efforts in organization and creating a fun and informative environment
in the A C Convention Center. As host the EP Henry staff achieved A+ in planning
a fun & successful event. The planning is started for 2008 I hope to be a part
of your 2008 show!"
Dan Dellamarine, Springfield Ford: I don't know if these comments are testimonial worthy but as always, the entire MAHTS initiative is always a success and the staff is top notch!. Clearly, MAHTS provides an excellent resource for knowledge, networking and exposure for our business. MAHTS always projects a high level of professionalism for it's vendors and customers alike. Great job! Best Regards and see you next year!
Joe Welde, Fred Beans Ford Lincoln Mercury: The MAHTS presented the exhibitors with the perfect arena to capture the true flavor of the commercial customer in a most comfortable environment.
Scott Anderson, JCB: Thank you and your staff for making the 2007 MAHTS show (EP Henry Show to me!) a HUGE success! The craftsmanship of the displays was unparalleled. The professionalism of you and your staff was extraordinary. I look forward to being a Platinum Sponsor for the 2008 show and working with EP Henry again. Thank you for helping JCB "Get the Job Done"!
Mark Fuss, President, Snap Edge Corporation: Without question, MAHTS is the best Hardscape tradeshow in America. The quantity and quality of contractor customers is unsurpassed. If your company is interested in selling their products to hardscape contractors, you MUST be at MAHTS.
Steve Brown, Modern Equipment: As a long time participant and supporter of the MAHTS show I would like to say that in spite of the inclement weather, Modern Equipment Sales and Rental Company experienced a very active show. We had a steady flow of customers through our booth all three days of the show. Questions from the contractors on applications and specifications on the equipment on display reflect the elevated level of professionalism acquired from attendance at the MAHTS show. It is my opinion that this years MAHTS show was the best one so far.
Micheal Bell, Southwest Greens: As far as my experience at the MAHTS show this year I would say that we didn’t get the turnout in attendance we were hoping for but the time we had to network with the other vendors was priceless. I have attended a lot of shows in the past and I must say from setup to teardown it was the most organized event I have ever been to. My hat goes off to you and everyone on your staff for a job well done. It was without a doubt time well spent for Kyle, myself and the entire Southwest Greens System. I also feel being associated with a company such as EP Henry is only a positive for us. You all share the same vision and passion for perfection that we do. I very much look forward to participating next your and having the opportunity to get to know all of you better. Again, thanks for all of your professionalism and I look forward to seeing you in June.
Kyle Ehman, Southwest Greens: I agree with Mike’s sentiments and feel weather played a large roll in the attendance which is the way the ball bounces sometimes. We will continue to network via MAHTS and EP Henry as we feel it is imperative for both of our organizations to leverage the resources each other have. Just as the MAHTS Show has been beneficial to us we know that through some of our franchisees we can benefit you as well (even got you a sub-distributor Patuxent Nurseries in Bowie, MD through our Baltimore franchisee who is a certified EP Henry installer). Plan on us continuing to network with your organization through MAHTS and we look forward to continuing to cross leverage each others strengths. We appreciate all of your hospitality and service to ensure that our show was as successful as possible and our stay was pleasant in Atlantic City, NJ. Overall, great job!!
Jim Schimpf: Opportunity Knocks, "I wanted to inform you that our recent participation as an Exhibitor at the MAHTS show turned out to be one of the best investments I’ve made this year. While I was initially skeptical because we had never participated in your show, it actually turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. From move in to attendance to break down, you and EP Henry sure did a phenomenal job. Our product traditional sells very well at trade shows, and during this three day show, one of my reps did more business in those three days than he traditionally does in one month. VERY NICE! I was even most impressed, when it came time to close for the day, the expo security was not pushing us out the door while we were in the final negotiations for new business. Overall…Very impressed…we already signed up for next year. See you in AC in 2008!"
Joe Vona, Binder Machinery: "The 2007 Mid-Atlantic Hardscaping Trade Show was incredible as usual. We always receive a lot of leads from the many visitors to the show. All in all, the MAHTS is the place to be to get your name out there."
Mike Allen, Norris Sales: "Norris Sales Company has been at the MAHTS show since its early days at the Pennsauken location, we have always enjoyed successful shows partnered
with EP Henry. We went into the 2007 show with certain expectations and we were pleased with the results of the show. Our business is perfectly matched with the customer base that attends this event and we consistently see familiar faces and forge new Relationships that are profitable. I would like to personally thank Jon Bowman and Sally O'Shea for their assistance with our part in the show and I would also like to personally thank Greg Wellik and Dave McCullough for assisting us at all levels of the show as exhibitors and as the rental source for the show. I am already looking forward to the 2008 event and our continued partnership with the EP Henry organization."
David Castle, General Motors: "Load-In on the 13th and tear-down on the 16 were very well organized, the process could not have been any easier. EP Henry employees were always around to answer questions to assist when needed. Even with the bad weather, the attendance and high targeted audience was great. The rock patio entrance with displays on both sides was the best entrance I've ever seen a trade/home show."
Tom Rew, Mirafi: I thought the show was extremely organized and I liked the additional efforts to bring everyone together at the Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall.
John Henderson, Mirafi: Continues to be a very good format. EP Henry does a nice job displaying our products.
Scott Dull: I have attended national shows that aren't run as professionally as MAHTS. They really do a great job of educating the contractors on our products. It showed when they stopped by our booth.
