The Second Annual Contractors’ Choice Awards hosted by EP Henry will be presented at MAHTS 2012. This awards program — designed for contractors and voted on by contractors — honors outstanding Hardscaping professionals and projects completed between January 1, 2010 and November 30, 2011.

- Voters will be entered to win a $200 gift card.
Entering
The Contractors’ Choice Awards program presented at MAHTS 2012 is designed to recognize leadership and excellence in Hardscaping projects, Hardscaping Contractors and a Distributor.
The organizers behind MAHTS 2012 are looking for examples of excellence in Hardscaping. Individuals and Businesses can enter in one of 6 categories with a 1st runner-up in each category:
- Rookie of the Year
- Veteran of the Year
- Project Value under $10,000
- Project Value between $10,001 and $25,000
- Project Value over $25,000
- Distributor of the Year
For projects to qualify, they must have been installed on or after January 1, 2010 and utilize at least 75% EP Henry products: EP Henry, Imperial by EP Henry, DevonStone, and Cast Veneer Stone by EP Henry (no competitors product allowed; natural materials are okay).
Winners will be published on both EP Henry’s consumer and contractor websites: www.ephenry.com, www.MAHTS.com.

Process
Nominees must be employed full-time in the field of Hardscaping. They must be affiliated with a local/state Nursery/Hardscaping association and demonstrate achievements in advancing the Hardscaping industry in the mid-Atlantic region of the US.
Nominees will be reviewed for their application’s thoroughness (including project photography, entry details, etc.) All nomination entries are due online by the close of business on DECEMBER 31, 2011. If your nomination is not complete, it will not be posted for online votes. While the nomination form has specific details, please rest assured that only voting-relevant information will be displayed on the voting site. Any nomination information pertaining to a company’s business management remains confidential and will not be viewed by or made available to others. Then starting on DECEMBER 16, 2011, the online voting process begins.
Please keep in mind the following:
- You may nominate yourself and/or others; you must select one category. (You cannot nominate the same entity for more than one category.)
- It is important to provide complete answers and digital photos for the award category.
- Make sure every section of the entry form is complete. Provide photos of the project in jpeg format (no larger than 1mg in size) including “before” images if available. Also, make sure that the entry has been submitted under the correct award category.
- Focus on the best points of the project or person. Keep the description brief and factual.
- Ensure proper dollar value on project: a project submitted in a dollar category must be valued completely. The project cost must include the value of all products (hardscaping and accessories/materials), labor and services supplied by the nominee.
Contractors’ Choice Awards Winners: What Makes this Awards Program Different?
This series of awards is a unique one in that winners will be identified by their own online-voting peers. As the title suggests, contractors, other Hardscaping professionals and stakeholders who vote online decide these awards. Winners will be identified by the number of votes they receive online at www.MAHTS.com. Participants (nominees and their supporters) may vote once a day.
The winner of each category will receive $500 in EP Henry Rewards points. The 1st runner-up in each category will receive$100 in EP Henry Rewards points.
Those who vote will be entered to win a $200 gift card.
Recognition
Winners will be recognized at the MAHTS 2012 Industry Reception on Tuesday evening, February 8, 2011 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In addition, winners will be recognized on the MAHTS and EP Henry web site, in NewScapes (e-newsletter), through promotional pieces sent to the industry and through industry media.
Entry Eligibility
Any residential or commercial project featuring at least 75% EP Henry product (integrating other natural materials is acceptable) is eligible. Entries in the 2012 Contractors’ Choice Awards Program must have been installed on or after January 1, 2010. There is no entry fee for nominations.
